Question:

Is it OK to post piece of my personal art collection on DA?

I am not an artist. But I like art, well the art I like. I wouldn't mind sharing it here, not that any one is reading this.

What I am going to is to share my collection, making attribution where I can. If it is a problem I will take it down.

If anyone thinks this is a problem, let me know.

  • Mood: Thanks
  • Listening to: The sound of slience
  • Reading: Mouse Guard by Dave Petersen
  • Eating: Whatever is in fridge

I am NOT an artist, but I like art. I'm one of those 'I know what I like when I see it' type guys. I like 50's sci-fi, classic monsters and sexy women. What can I say, I'm a guy. I respect the artist as I could not do what you do. But hate pretentious BS. I have more respect for a working artist, than for a diva. I'm getting to that creepy old man stage (only 49). I also have getting into the techno/industrial side of Steampunk. I also like Groo.

I need to read more, but after all these years of watching the boob tube, it is hard.

Also, a collector of 'Junk'. Not yet to the hoarding stage, but people question. I still can see most of the floors in all but one room of my house.

Thanks for the watch!  I can totally relate to your description of yourself in the box above.  I'll be there myself in 7 years -- 49 that is.  I have a wife to constantly throw things away for me, though, and while I think I might actually appreciate the neatness of the house, every time I think, "Oh, hey!  I have something that has those parts on it that I can salvage to make this thing work again!" it turns out that's already been in a landfill for a year or two.

You're welcome. Love the small Lego stuff. If I ever get a chance/the time, I want to start playing around with them again. I added you to my watch list, which I should have done a while back.

Heh, thanks a lot, nice to know I'm inspiring people a bit :P  Originally I started off at micro-scale because I figured it'd be cheaper and require less space as I don't really have any proper storage and a limited budget.  It really helps you figure out all the connections you can make with the pieces though.  There's also some great groups on Flickr for lego.
